If we send even a small few Libertarians to Ottawa and some independents it will make the others take notice and I would be happy with that.

Shades of the 1992 election, Nick! Harper might get 40 seats and Mulehair 20.

What's with the returns already? I thought they couldn't release info until all the polls closed.

New rules Nick. Don't matter a fiddler's f**k. Newfy votes aren't likely to influence B.C. votes.

I think the handwriting is on the wall. Harper is obviously yesterday's man!

Or even if a few elected members decide to dump their party and sit as independents.

Have you ever seen an Independent go anywhere? I haven't!

We fire our governments, periodically. I wondered if this might happen, this time.

You will be back where you started a couple of decades ago with the start of the Reform Party.

Have you heard of Bellwether Ridings, Nick? With one or two you have a good indication - if you have five or six it's a lead pipe cinch!

You will be back where you started a couple of decades ago with the start of the Reform Party.

The Reform Party sat between conservatism and libertarianism.

One advantage with regional parties would be lack of vote splitting. The Progressive Conservative Party and the Reform Party were eating into each others' votes.

Provincial parties (e.g. Ontario Party, Alberta Party, etc.) would allow the Ontario Party to be more progressive conservative and the Alberta Party to be more Reformist and maybe the Manitoba Party more libertarian, etc. This way they wouldn't eat into each others' votes and could then form coalitions once elected.

Whether the coalition is more conservative, reformist, or Libertarian or progressive conservative would depend on who has the most seats.

I see Mulehair is losing by 20% in his own riding. Jack Layton............................he's NOT!

Look at the size of Nunavut and NWT. Makes for a lot of red.
