Arkansas man accused of raping, impregnating 10-year-old girl

WYNNE (KATV) - A 20-year-old Wynne man is behind bars in the Cross County Detention Center after police say he impregnated a 10-year-old girl.

According to the Cross County Sheriff's Office website, Justin Roshud Smith was booked in on three counts of rape and endangering the welfare of a minor charges. He also faces a charge of failure to pay a fine. During his initial court appearance, bond was set at $500,000, according to a release from the Wynne Police Department.

Wynne PD were notified about a 10-year-old girl who was found to be pregnant while being treated at an area hospital.

Officers, with assistance from the Arkansas State Police Crimes Against Children Division, began investigating, which led to the arrest of Smith.

If convicted, Smith could face a minimum of 25 years in prison.

Reading this, I am reminded of a comment someone left in an article about the Toronto Blue Jays at tsn.ca (sports site). As for this, if this "man" is found guilty (I'm sure a test will be done on the DNA of the child if it is born), then he needs to be buried in a pit somewhere. Waste of oxygen, that's all he is.
