We as voters talk about the deficit and managing money and the various self interest problems.
What is also important is the vision of where a leader wants to take the country. We have already
seen the damage Harper has done.
This election wants one thing to get rid of the Reform Harper crowd and Mulcair is seen as the
most likely to do that.
I for one will support him for one reason only he has the best chance to get rid of the real party in
power Reform. This is not a Progressive Conservative Party its a disguised Reform Party.

The dissent trick has been well documented as a Conservative ploy to stop people from voting because it favours their party.

The same strategy was used during the Ontario election and failed.

Could you summarize this alleged damage for the non-Canadians?

Pray tell, what exactly is the damage Harper has done? Please be specific!

Was it better with a 61¢ dollar, 1940s infrastructure in the west, jack **** for ports, rail, antiquated power generation and grid, EI fund raided, 7% GST, higher income tax...

It would be ideal to have Tommy the Commie kybosh energy independence, let infrastructure and everything else slide back into Liberal styld decay, ax income splitting for a handful of daycare spots and and to eliminate a whopping 0.03% budget deficit?

Is that the damage you speak of?

DG has perpetuated this theme for months but he's never said exactly what...............in dollars and cents anyway.

. This is not a Progressive Conservative Party its a disguised Reform Party.

The same could be said about most if not all parties. That is just the result of everyone floundering to do what will gain the most votes. A reputable party will stick to it's true philosophy and win or lose on that basis. I wonder how many "David Emerson"s will emerge from the woodwork in the months and years to come.

What damage has Harper done?

1) Income splitting. Now I'm not paying as much tax, which is just wrong.
2) Corporate tax cuts. Now Canadian companies are more competitive on the world stage, and that's just wrong.
3) Universal child tax benefit. Because of this extra money I can afford to put my children in music lessons. That's just wrong - only rich families should be able to do that.
4) Encouraged mining and oil sands development. That's just wrong. The oil sands should be completely shut down (just ask my local NDP Candidate, Jacqui Gingras).
5) Harmonized sales taxes. Again, totally wrong because it reduces the number of union jobs for people collecting the taxes.

It's a small world, Glacier, Jacqui Gingras is also my N.D.P. candidate. She's very friendly but I've been getting daily emails asking for money. (Contrary to you, I just love the income splitting) :) Long live Harper!

I hate dippers. They represent all that is wrong with Canada.
Really? Perhaps you could reflect on the fact that many of the institutions that help provide for your long term comfort and security, like medicare, public pensions, employment insurance, paid vacation time, maternity leave, paid sick leave, the 40 hour work week, weekends, the right to strike and collective bargaining, and all the other things that make up the social safety net, were ideas that came from people like those you so disparagingly label dippers.

That stuff is also responsible for a lot of the debt.
