A woman in France was attacked by a group of Muslim girls. What was her fault? Why was she attacked by Muslim girls? The answer to these questions is she was wearing a bikini for sunbathing in a park last Wednesday when five Muslim girls ganged up against her.

After this incident, investigations was started and twitter users bashed against Muslim girls to do this act.

According to police officials, the woman was having fun with her two friends at Parc Léo Lagrange in Reims, when one of the attackers yelled her for exposing so much flesh in a public place and was shouting this is immoral.

The French woman in a bikini yelled back and in a result she was attacked.

The attackers were 16 to 24 years of age and they are not yet identified. Authorities also raised the speculations that the nearby housing area had a lot of Muslim population so there is a chance that the attack was religiously motivated.

Twitter activists and some anti-racist organizations have taken to social media sites to protest against the shameful act and asked to free the bikinis they used the hashtag #jeportemonmaillotauparc (I wear my swimsuit in the park).

According to the eyewitnesses, the woman was not seriously hurt but she was badly bruised.

The mayor of Reims Arnaud Robinet has said we have to be very careful and we should not jump to conclusion without investigation but if this incident has religious motivation then it is a very sad incident.

to prison. All those coming to the country from wherever and whoever not just the
Muslims should sign a document stating they understand the laws and religious laws
do not count in the country in this case France but it could be any western country.
If someone is attacked the people responsible should then be deported.
Religion should have NO special protections under the law any more or less than any
other legal organization. This does not mean religion is illegal it means they get to
obey the law and pay taxes like everyone else with not exempt clauses because of faith.

One problem in the French case is that the vast majority of Muslims are not immigrants. Algeria was once considered part of "la Métropole", a department of continental France, and all Algerians were French citizens. Many Algerians had moved to France prior to and during the war of independance, meaning that they were technically not even immigrating but rather merely migrating in the same vein as a Parisian migrating to Lyons. In that sense, not only are most French Muslims today not immigrants, but they are not even the children, grandchildren, or great grandchildren of immigrants, but rather those of migrants from within France itself, Algeria not being considered a colony but rather a department of the French Republic.
