ZIONSVILLE, Ind. (WXIN) – Federal authorities raided the home of Subway spokesman Jared Fogle Tuesday morning. FBI sources told FOX59 in Indianapolis that they were serving warrants at Fogle’s Zionsville home in connection with a child pornography investigation.

Earlier this year, Russell Taylor, the former director of the Jared Foundation started by Fogle, was arrested in a child pornography case.

Fogle said the foundation severed all ties with Taylor following the arrest.

Subway is based in Milford.

NDIANAPOLIS (WTHR/WAVY) – Federal and state agents raided the Indiana home of Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday as part of a child porn investigation, NBC affiliate WTHR is reporting. The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children task force is the lead agency on the investigation.

They are removing electronics from the home and they are being analyzed inside a mobile forensics van in the home’s driveway.

Fogle has been detained outside his home, although he is not under arrest.

Fogle’s wife and children left the home shortly after the raid began.

In April, the executive director of the Jared Foundation was arrested on child pornography charges.

Former Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle Expected to Plead Guilty to Child Porn Charges: Reports

Former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle is expected to plead guilty to possession of child pornography and accept a plea deal, according to local reports.

Sources told WTTV-TV and WXIN-TV that the U.S. Attorney’s Office will hold a press conference Wednesday to discuss the deal.

Fogle gained nationwide fame after he lost nearly 250 pounds through a steady-diet of eating Subway sandwiches.

Subway suspended ties with Fogle last month after the FBI raided his home and removed electronics. Two months prior the director of his foundation had been arrested on child pornography charges.

Ex-Subway pitchman Fogle seeks shorter prison sentence
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
First posted: Friday, February 19, 2016 07:19 PM EST | Updated: Friday, February 19, 2016 08:16 PM EST
INDIANAPOLIS -- Former Subway pitchman Jared Fogle asked a federal appeals court on Friday to shorten the more than 15-year prison sentence he received for possessing child pornography and paying for sex with underage girls.
Fogle's attorney argued that that the District Court judge in Indianapolis abused her authority by giving Fogle a sentence three years longer than the maximum term prosecutors agreed to pursue as part of his plea deal.
Fogle pleaded guilty in November to one count each of distributing and receiving child porn and travelling to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a child. As part of his plea deal, he agreed not to seek a sentence of less than five years in prison and prosecutors agreed not to push for more than 12 1/2 years behind bars.
The appeal calls District Court Judge Tanya Walton Pratt's decision "unreasonable," along with asking the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago to throw out the prison term and order resentencing.
"The District Court's ruling also undermines the notions of trust and fairness that undergird our delicate system of plea bargaining," Fogle's appeal said.
U.S. attorney's office spokesman Tim Horty declined to comment on Fogle's appeal.
Fogle admitted that he paid for sex at New York City hotels with girls who were 16 or 17 years old and that he had received some child pornography produced by the one-time head of his anti-obesity charity, Russell Taylor. Fogle also paid a total of $1.4 million to his 14 victims, with each getting $100,000.
Taylor was sentenced in December to 27 years in prison after pleading guilty to 12 counts of child exploitation and one count of distributing child pornography.
Prosecutors say Taylor used hidden cameras in his Indianapolis-area homes to secretly film 12 minors who were nude, changing clothes, or engaged in other activities.
Defence attorney Ronald Elberger argues that in determining Fogle's 188-month sentence the judge wrongly considered allegations for which he didn't face criminal charges, including discussions he had with others about possible sexual contact with other minors and collecting pornography of children as young as 6 years old.
The appeal maintains that the child pornography was on a thumb drive that Fogle received from Taylor and viewed, "but that does not amount to a contention that Fogle actively sought, collected and distributed images of six-year-olds."
Elberger wrote that the judge abused her discretion by imposing a sentence beyond the federal sentencing guidelines of 135 to 160 months for Fogle's offences.
"Fogle acknowledges that he has committed inexcusable acts for which he takes full responsibility and is genuinely remorseful," the appeal said. Prosecutors "knew everything the District Court knew and still agreed to a below-guidelines sentence that adequately reflected the severity of the crimes to which Fogle pleaded."

Ex-Subway pitchman Jared Fogle blames victim's parents for girl's 'destructive behaviours'

INDIANAPOLIS — Subway’s former pitchman imprisoned for child pornography and sex abuse says the parents of one of his female victims are to blame for what he describes as her “destructive behaviours.”
Jared Fogle makes that argument in a Thursday filing in U.S. District Court in Indianapolis. The motion also argues that the parents may be responsible for the girl’s injuries alleged in a civil lawsuit against him.
The victim was a subject in some of the child pornography in Fogle’s criminal case and filed a lawsuit against him in March. It seeks monetary damages for, among other things, personal injury and emotional distress.
Fogle’s filing alleges the parents fought and abused alcohol in front of her. It argues that’s among the causes of her distress and contends the parents may be liable for some or all of her claims against Fogle.

Child porn accuser drops lawsuit against ex-Subway pitchman

INDIANAPOLIS — The family of one of Jared Fogle’s victims in the child pornography case that led to the former Subway pitchman’s imprisonment is dropping their lawsuit against him.
A motion filed Thursday in federal court in Indianapolis requested that the lawsuit be dismissed with prejudice, meaning it cannot be brought back to court.
Attorneys for the girl in March sued Fogle, the former head of his anti-obesity charity, Russell Taylor, and Taylor’s wife. Prosecutors said Taylor used cameras hidden in his Indianapolis-area homes to secretly film minors and shared some images with Fogle.
Ron Elberger, one of the lawyers representing Fogle, says he’s “pleased” with the dismissal and that there was no settlement between the parties.
The girl’s attorney, Mike Stephenson, declined to comment on the decision, telling WRTV only that the court filing speaks for itself.
Fogle, a 39-year-old former suburban Indianapolis man, was sentenced last year to more than 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to distributing and receiving child pornography and travelling out of state to engage in illicit sexual conduct with a minor. Fogle has paid restitution to 14 victims, but they can still sue him for additional money.

Did Subway ignore warnings about perv pitchman Fogle?

Perverted Subway shill Jared Fogle’s ex-wife claims the fast food giant knew the former fatty had a penchant for kids.
Katie McLaughlin -- who launched the lawsuit -- claims the chain “failed every test of corporate responsibility” until Fogle was pinched.
But McLaughlin says in her suit that as far back as 2004, Fogle was preying on children.
At least three complaints regarding Fogle’s “depravities” were ignored by the company, the suit says.
“The safety of kids was not a priority but Subway’s bottom line was,” the suit alleges.
Subway was tight-lipped, McLaughlin said, when she confronted them about Fogle’s sick lust.
“I filed this lawsuit because I have questions,” she told a press conference.
“Questions that someday my children will ask me and that I imagine the families of the 14 victims are asking. Questions to which I have no other way to get answers. Questions like, ‘What did Subway know and when did they know it?’”
Fogle appeared to be the American Dream come true.
For more than 15 years he was Subway’s main man, claiming the sandwiches helped him lose more than 200 lbs.
Along the way he became wealthy and famous -- and Subway’s riches tripled.
But Subway didn’t seem to know how to deal with him when whispers began emerging about Fogle’s unhealthy affinity for kids.
Not until he was busted in a kiddie porn sting did the chain take action, the lawsuit claims. He was fired immediately when his perversions emerged.
He’s currently serving a 15-year prison sentence.
Subway declined comment, citing pending legal action.

Disgraced Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle denied early prison release by judge

Jared Fogle is not getting out of prison anytime soon. RadarOnline.com can reveal exclusive details on an Indiana judge’s decision to deny the disgraced Subway spokesperson’s desperate plea to be released from prison early.
In the documents obtained by Radar, Fogle made bizarre claims arguing Judge Tanya Pratt had no legal authority to hear his child pornography case because he was wrongfully charged with conspiracy.
“The court failed to address the Notation of ‘conspiracy’ and the contention of such,” Fogle wrote himself at the prison library. “The statute… clearly offers no provision for charging a party with ‘conspiracy.’”
Fogle added that he “objects” to the court previously allowing him to “plead guilty and sentence him” for a charge that he says is “not authorized by congress.”
Fogle claimed that the conspiracy charges he pled guilty to in 2015 go against his crime of distributing and possessing sexually explicit photos of children.
The 40-year-old also argued against being charged with “four counts of travel in foreign commerce for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with a minor.” Fogle claimed that this charge — which he pled guilty to — is nonsense because he never actually traveled out of the state to engage in unlawful sexual contact with a child, and had no actual involvement in producing the lewd photos.
On Friday, Judge Pratt shot back and called Fogle’s arguments, which were filed on January 11, “frivolous” — noting that federal law specifically covers his convictions.
“The Motion, Notices and Objection are all DENIED…” Judge Pratt ordered.
This isn’t the first time Fogle tried to appeal his sentencing. Seven months into his jail time in 2016, Fogle argued that his sentence was based on sexual “fantasies” about children, not criminal actions. A judge blasted his argument and denied his appeal.
Fogle pled guilty to child porn and was sentenced to 15 years and eight months in prison. He has served a little over two years at the Englewood Federal Correctional Institution in Colorado.
