A 10-month-old girl was rescued by the Turkish Coast Guard on Saturday after she drifted nearly a kilometre out to sea in an inflatable crib.
According to reports, her parents were visiting a beach in Ayvacik, about 400 kilometres southwest of Istanbul, at the time of the incident. They said they forgot they had left their daughter in the floatation device and did not realize that she had drifted away.
Other beachgoers informed the parents that their child had been carried away from the shore.

WTF??? When one has a 10 month old infant, one knows where that child is at all times. What the hell is the matter with people?!?

You're saying that parents are infallible?

No, I'm saying responsible parents don't forget where they leave their children.

No but sometimes parents "get rid" of their children intentionally...I guess "forgot" is a difficult thing to disprove.

No parent leaves a baby on the water unattended EVER. They'll be charged for their stupidity and neglect at least.
