Of course nobody in this love in group would wonder how much grief this causes many many businesses who pay the taxes to let idiots feed losers.

If you don't know grampa real well that face will scare the **** out of you.
Had a hallowed mask that realistic. My own mom was running of the spot when my friend came in wearing it. We felt so bad after.

Not all people who are down on their luck are necessarily "losers" and even if they are how is worsening their condition going to improve anything?

If you are sleeping in front of Tim Horton's, you're not a winner.

Relative to what? He's better off than the poor guy lying in front of Timmy's suffering from insomnia.:)

You can thank the BC LIBERALS.

Nah, this problem goes back to the Social Credit days- can't remember if it was Bill Bennett or Bill Vanderzalm who shut down Riverview, but it was badly managed. The whole kit and caboodle was just dumped out on the street in one fell swoop!

For what?

Closing up the mental hospitals and psychiatric wards and putting these people on the streets.

Any business who would treat someone like that regardless of their
circumstance I would no longer patronize their business. It is said
the measure of a society is registered in how we treat the most
vulnerable in the society. This is nothing short of disgusting and it
is totally inexcusable. No the guys face does not frighten me either.
Would someone condone being this heartless noting the discomfort
a homeless person would confront, you could do that because in ones
opinion he looked scary? I am not necessarily a bleeding heart but I
do believe in compassion

The closing in 2012 would have been its final function. Maybe they kept it open for 20 odd years in some capacity for political reasons!

In Kelowna three or four years ago a couple suffered a similar fate while sleeping on the street. Can't recall the details but perhaps they were spray painted. Despicable act! Did the perpetrators get their come uppance?

The employee will be fired.

Maybe he'll learn the world is watching and judging his actions.

"It's not known whether the man who allegedly poured the water is actually a store employee.
CBC News has yet to receive a reply from Tim Hortons."

but hey, why worry about little details like that. Gotta make sure we get our pound of flesh for all perceived wrongs.

The news story never does say that the guy who poured the
water on the homeless guy & his dog was an employee for
sure (allegedly an employee was the term used), but it did
say this:

Morrison said a man came out of the Tim Hortons with a
bucket, which he poured under a homeless man who was
sleeping on cardboard and blankets with his dog.

"He didn’t throw it on him," she said. "He poured it underneath
so the blankets and consequently the dog and the man were
both soaked. The [homeless] man jumped up. He was obviously
shouting. The dog looked shocked and they started moving all of
their stuff around the corner to the entrance of the IGA, which is
where they remained."

Morrison said the man re-emerged from the Tim Hortons with a
straw broom and proceeded to sweep beverage cups, sheets of
cardboard and the remains of plastic garbage bags from the
sleeping mat down the sidewalk away from the store.

The guy wasn't necessarily an employee, but may have been a
patron who happened to stop for his double-double and also
happened to have brought along a bucket and a straw broom.
It could happen. Life is full of coincidences.
