A 3-week-old girl was found dead in a dumpster 120 miles from the Southern California home where she was abducted after her parents and uncle were shot over the weekend, police said.
Authorities found the body of Eliza Delacruz on Sunday behind a strip mall in the city of Imperial Beach in San Diego County, about 120 miles south of the Long Beach house where she was last seen, the Long Beach Police Department said in a statement.
Police are working to identify the person who they say shot Delacruz's family members on Saturday, critically injuring two, and abducted the infant immediately after.
"The suspect who committed these horrific crimes" is still at large, Long Beach Police said in the statement.
Delacruz's parents and uncle were treated at local hospitals, where two remained in critical condition. The other was treated and released.
Police said the suspect is likely male but other than that they had little information. A motive has not been determined. Police have said the assailant may have known the victims.
Police have not said what caused Delacruz's death.

The parents are one thing doing this to a baby is a whole different scenario. This person
or persons have to be found and prosecuted. The problem with the drug trade today is the
authorities are out gunned and maybe its time to turn the action for reconstruction over to
the military and drag these criminals kicking and screaming before a special court without
so many protections. Yes declare marshal law and route them out

Good idea. We don't have enough innocent people dying in drug raids. We need more infants with holes burned in their chests by flash grenades, and more grandfathers gunned down by the cops whilst fully complying and presenting no threat.

Outgunned? Surely you jest. The cops in the U.S. are equipped like the Marines.

Maybe let them do their dope but eliminate the black market so dopers and cops aren't shooting each other and the innocent. This is all preventable and normal people wouldn't have to deal with the quinoa and salad munchers.

THANK you! Make marijuana legal, and make addictive hard drugs available in state-run stores. The addict has to walk past racks and racks of information offering them help to get to a counter where they receive, for a modest price, a single dose of their drug of choice, which they have to use on the premises.

Then impose draconian penalties for black-marketing drugs.

Takes the money right out of it. And the murder. And the exploitation.
