Having a straight jacket on board would preclude the necessity to interrupt the flight to return obstreperous customers back to the point of departure right away and would have saved much worry and inconvenience to the passengers.

How much inconvenience for passengers would there be in dressing a worked-up excitable type into attire he didn't believe was becoming?

They've all got zip ties on board as you would know if you'd ever actually been on an airplane.

putting on a straightjacket would be difficult to do on a plane with a resisting person ..
