ISIS declares creation of Islamic state in Middle East, shortens name to ‘IS’

ISIS jihadists have declared the captured territories from Iraq's Diyala province to Syria's Aleppo a new Islamic State - a ‘caliphate.' They removed 'Iraq and the Levant' from their name and urged other radical Sunni groups to pledge their allegiance.

ISIS announced that it should now be called 'The Islamic State' and declared its chief, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as "the caliph" of the new state and "leader for Muslims everywhere," the radical Sunni militant group said in an audio recording distributed online on Sunday.

This is the first time since the fall of the Ottoman Empire in 1923 that a Caliph – which means a political successor to Prophet Muhammad – has been declared. The decision was made following the group’s Shura Council meeting on Sunday, according to ISIS spokesman Abu Mohammed al-Adnani.

The new Islamic State has marked its borders, spanning the territory captured by the group in a bloody rampage, from Iraq's volatile Diyala province to Syria's war-torn Aleppo.

Iraq hasn't been great since before the Mongol hoards went through there 800 years ago.

Number 1 should be Saudi Arabia but they got Money and Oil.




I just have such a hard time accepting (other than the Saudi owners wanting total domination of Muslims) that the various Sects of Islam will fight each other over which Sect Mohammed (via the Koran) was talking to.


That would be like the Baptists going to war against the Mormons who go to war against the Catholics etcetera as to who the Bible was meant for, even though it wasn't written by a god..........

When the Taliban did that in Afghanistan the West was quick to attack them and impose their ways. It's a good bet that if these people declare themselves a state (assuming this report is correct) it's a good bet we will see foreign interventionism there. After all, oil will likely be involved and the wealthy elites control the governments that will keep their profits flowing in.

Anyone beginning to get the picture? This is a growing cancer and whether you like
America or not or any of the other powers its time to understand we are at war and
the enemy gets more embolden each day. We watched as madmen took little pieces
of Europe and we signed another deal until the puzzle had all its pieces.
