Man accused of taking photos of kids around GTA

TORONTO - A Toronto man faces charges after taking pictures of children in public places around the city.

Toronto Police allege the man went to a number of places across the GTA and took pictures of children. The man then allegedly uploaded the images to the Internet and added sexualized comments to the photos on a message board, inviting others to do so as well, Const. Jenniferjit Sidhu said Tuesday.

“This allowed for a conversation thread to go on between himself and other people,” she alleged.

Sidhu said police became aware of the activity through a tip and several units began to investigate.

Police executed a search warrant on the man’s home in the Pharmacy and Steeles Aves. area and found child pornography, Sidhu alleged.

Allan Bradley Vanderspek, 33, has been charged with six offences including making and distributing child porn.

He is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.

-- He was busted because he was doing a completely legal activity which somebody thought was suspicious.
-- When they went to search his house they found illegal child porn which is what he is charged with.
I think a good defense lawer could get him off based upon improper search and seisure.

That being said, the guy is creepy and definitely a child porn perv. I am not going to be upset if he gets a s-h-i-t-t-y lawyer.

No, we was busted because he posted those pictures on a forum with sexual comments attached to them and a person that saw them on the forum reported him. Those pictures/comments were what caused the house to be searched, not him actually taking the pictures in public. Nothing improper about the search and seizure.

hopefully when the police searched, it caused him to have a seizure.
