When we keep infringing on their habitat you can expect these kinds of incidents. The number of bear attacks is miniscule compared to the number of bears killed for sport or just because they happened to be in the vicinity of frightened people. Bears would rather avoid humans because they are smart enough to know that people are crazy.

Years ago (maybe it's an old wives tale) I heard that women are vulnerable to bear attacks while menstruating. Wonder if that's what happened here.

So you are saying they are not vulnerable to bear attacks the rest of the month?

Sweet deal.

I'm not saying anything, although it wouldn't surprise me if it was less likely!

Maybe her irrational nature and poor math skills are the reason she died.

Maybe she was carrying around a stash of chocolate. We all know about women and their chocolate.
