Exxon CEO Profits Huge As America's Largest Natural Gas Producer-But Frack In His Own Backyard And He Sues! - Forbes
A key and critical function of Mr. Tillerson’s day job is to do all he can to protect and nurture the process of hydraulic fracturing—aka ‘fracking’—so that his company can continue to rack in billions via the production and sale of natural gas. Indeed, so committed is Rex to the process of fracking that he has loudly lashed out at those who criticize and seek to regulate hydraulic fracturing, suggesting that such efforts are a very bad idea, indeed.

According to Tillerson, “This type of dysfunctional regulation is holding back the American economic recovery, growth, and global competitiveness.”

Thus, according to Rex Tillerson, nobody should have much of a reason to be disturbed or concerned when ExxonMobile comes knocking on your door to deliver the news that fracking is about to become a part of your daily life…unless, or course, you happen to live in Mr. Tillerson’s neighborhood.

In that case, the rules are, apparently, very, very different.

Nimby CEO.

NG and Oil are at war.

Why?

Because the water tower being built next to Tillerson’s house that will supply the water to the near-by fracking site, means the arrival of loud trucks, an ugly tower next door, and the general unpleasantness that will interfere with the quality of his life and the real estate value of his sizeable ranch.
And some don't like giant overpriced whirligigs either.

Really? hmmmmmm....ok...... so ExonMobile doesn't produce oil? or are you saying they don't produce NG? or are you saying that they are fighting internally?

No different than the anti-rodeo hypocrites that sport leather jackets and head-out for a well deserved burger 'n beer after a hard days protesting

Completely different, but that's ok, one of these days you'll get your analogies right.

The Captain's analogy is valid, though of course it doesn't change the fact that the CEO is one too.

Perhaps we should pass a law requiring CEOs to live in fracking towns. It might make them more honest then.

battle over markets and transport. Look into the New Englanders who are gas rich but are funding anti-oil campaigns and battling the XL. They already did in coal.

Ok.... still not seeing how that applies to this article.

Depends on what the protesters are protesting. If they're protesting the use of animal products at all, then yes, they are hypocrites. If they are protesting rodeos as animal cruelty, they're not. It's entirely possible to wear leather and still insist that animals be treated and killed humanely.

He's not suing over frakking. It's noise, an unsightly water tower and truck traffic he's suing over.

You can treat the animal with all the respect you want but if you saw what the tanners have to go through it would be a human rights things.

Sorry, but as a conservative, I oppose all attempts to require decent wages or safe, reasonably comfortable working conditions. That's socialism. Pardon me. . . SOSHULIZM!

You could have a point there.
