Four months after her husband's decomposed body was found in their home, a Hamilton, Ont., woman has been charged.
Police went to the St. Matthews Ave. home on Sept. 17, 2013, to investigate the discovery of the "severely decomposed" body of Peter Wald, 52.
His wife, Kaling Wald, 50, was arrested last Thursday and charged with neglect of duty regarding a dead body and indignity to a body.
She was released from custody and will appear in court again Feb. 13.
CHCH TV reported at the time that the corpse may have been in the house for seven months before it was discovered when a bank was repossessing the house and the family was being evicted.
The couple are the parents of six children and deeply religious.
