Two Canadian women have been arrested in Mexico for allegedly firebombing a car dealership and government office, The Associated Press reports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the arrests, but not the details of the charges. It also did not release the identities or hometowns of the women.
"The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development is aware of two Canadian citizens currently detained in Mexico. Canadian officials are in contact with local authorities to gather addition information and consular services are being provided," spokesman Mathieu Roi said in an e-mail.
A Mexican man was also detained for the bombings of a government transportation office and car dealership, both in Mexico City.
Prosecutors told AP the trio face possible charges for the damages.
