RCMP drops bullying investigation into Sask. teen's suicide

A Saskatchewan family is crying foul after the RCMP announced it dropped its investigation into allegations a North Battleford teen was bullied before he killed himself in September 2013.
Todd Loik, 15, was found dead in his bedroom. His mother, Kim Loik, alleged he'd been bullied since he was in Grade 5 and that she knew his tormentors.
His brother Ryan also said he'd witnessed the bullying.
Police, however, found no evidence.
"As part of this investigation, a full forensic examination of the deceased's cellphone and personal computer were completed," cops said in a release.
"Investigators reviewed in excess of 16,000 individual text messages, several hundred images and Facebook messages and approximately 30 videos. No evidence of any harassing or other related criminal behaviour was uncovered."
Kim Loik isn't convinced. She said on Facebook she plans to seek a copy of the RCMP files to see for herself.
On a memorial page dedicated to Todd, his family listed other teens who committed suicide after allegedly getting bullied and whose harassers were never brought to justice.
"How many countless more kids do we know of went through HELL but no one other than their parents fought for them? How many countless more families will NEVER get justice?" it reads.
"We will be lobbying all Governments to make bullying laws retro-active as of now. No more kids left behind!"
