Isn't it high time to start imposing hefty fines on people who go out of bounds?

The cost of the search should be more than enough to scare people off............

Yep- and it would save lives as well. When these bozos get caught in an avalanche it puts people who attempt to rescue at risk.
Selfish, stupid, oh yeah did I mention stupid.

They should have to do volunteer work instructing other skiers on why they should not break through warning ropes and go off on areas marked out of bounds. The amount of hours necessary should be worked out per rescue cost.

I'm not so sure about that, Sal, they would probably not only get themselves lost but also the ones they are instructing...............unless of course they could do the instructing inside a concrete bunker.

Why search for the weak thinkers?

I could never fathom why, but once in a blue moon there are people who love them.

Why? 2 bucks wouldn't kill anything.

When added to all the other 2 buckses it could break the camel's back.

Yes & No- Start at 10 - 20 K fine, plus costs.

And it shouldn't be BUT that isn't a reason for not making it expensive!

High enough to profit from it but low enough not to break them or discourage them. -:)

BC's tourists are people from AB and SK. $2 is nothing for us.
