Pot heads are most prevalent in B.C. and Nova Scotia, according to a new survey from Statistics Canada.
In B.C., 14.2% said they used weed in the previous 12 months. And 14.8% smoked up in Nova Scotia. That's compared to an average of 12.2% of Canadians who said they recently got high, according to the 2012 Canadian Community Health Survey released Wednesday.
The third-highest province of pot smokers is Ontario at 12.1%, followed by Alberta with 11.8%.
Saskatchewan is home to the least number of marijuana users in the country -- with 10.1% admitting they toked up in the last year, the data said.
The survey was done last year with Canadians aged 15 and older.
This is the first time the agency has compiled data on marijuana use alone.
More than 25,100 people were surveyed.
Percentage of people who admitted they used marijuana in the previous 12 months:
14.8% Nova Scotia
14.2% B.C.
12.1% Ontario

11.5% Manitoba
11.5% Quebec
11.1% Newfoundland

BC'ers have the time on their hands to be smoking up. Here in Alberta, we stick to coke so we can put in a productive work day.
