The New York Times has confirmed that its website has been taken offline by hackers, likely as part of a “malicious external attack.”

The handle 'Syrian Electronic Army' is a curious one.

They supposedly are the ones behind hacking such important sites as The Huffington Post.

If they want to be taken seriously they'd best step up and start hacking sites that would cause someone to notice, like electrical grids, stock markets, etcetera..............
