Montreal police ended a confrontation with a 70-year-old armed man Wednesday morning by shooting him with rubber bullets after a 20-hour standoff in a residential neighbourhood.

Too bad a cop ended an 18 year old life so quickly. Negotiation or a taser or rubber bullets would have been a more sensible choice.
