So far our temperatures have been almost exactly on average of what we normally get. Usually though, we get a bit more sunshine than we have had so far. July and August are going to be super though, right?...............right?

Got five inches of rain south of here last night. It's too wet to do anything.

We spent last weekend building our camp kitchen, and things weren't even as wet then but we still froze and made a royal muddy mess of everything. After this week's rain, I don't think driving in is even worth the ruts it would cause.

An hour past the solstice, the sun gods have retired. Beat a pot or two to wake them up for Calgary, Black Diamond, Canmore, High...

Backwater, Ontario.
:canada: Thanks to Col. By of the Royal Engineers we have a canal system which can channel floods down to the Ottawa river, and thence to the St. Lawrence, to the ocean.

Merci, John; this has probably saved our collective as ses more than once and we don't even know it.

It has definitely served us well this year, as the rain has been mostly non stop.

Should result in a better than average Pickerel spawn.
