Trudeau accuses NDP of being 'lukewarm' about charter - Politics - CBC News

Will the Charter be Trudeau's weak point? He's expressed his comitment to the Charter a number of times already. While the Charter certainly has some good points, what about its defense of the separate school system, its defense of the notion of the 'two founding races', etc.

It would seem like a big political risk to be so stron gon the Charter, no? I could see acknowledging its strong points, but it sounds like Trudeau is supporting it as is.

It would be quite easy for him to love and respect his father as his father while still disagreeing with his policies. It's really not that hard to separate the two. To oppose someone's policies need not be taken personally.
