Alright is was not something a person should do however he is twelve or thirteen years old
and boys do stupid things all the time. First the school over reacted and suspended him.
Pure nonsense. The police investigated him? Get real surely they have better things to do.
Thirdly they charged him, what a waste of time and money for the citizens.
The school should take some form of action like pointed out the situation and how silly he
was, the police should have perhaps taken the time to reprimand him and scare the hell out
of him.
The whole situation demonstrates the people are frightened, insecure and immature and I am
talking about the adults here. Thirteen year old will do any number of things parents, teachers
and law enforcement should not engage in the same stupidity

Police said the boy will be charged with disorderly conduct and will be suspended from school.

The school and the police show absolutely no intelligence here only panicked stupidity. this over-the-top mentality is more hurtful to the situation than helpful.

We have to organize a company of Thought Police. We can't have people thinking bad thoughts, or even suspected
of thinking bad thoughts. Pointing a dangerous finger at someone could lead to all kinds of terrible things...

The bigger problem is that it is an unregistered finger... I think that it's just about time that we move to ban all finger-guns in this nation.

When will people ever learn?... Guns don't kill people; fingers kill people

Next thing you know it will be toes and then we have a problem of proportions in the double digits!

So what excactly did he do illegal? Is disorderly conduct one of those catch all charges they throw at anybody who doesn't march in a straight line?

I hear you, & we have to keep in mind that in grade seven...makes this kid a
twelve year old boy? Thirteen, I guess, from the O.P.

At least he might/should avoid an adult record & stay off the no-fly lists, etc....
