Watching CTV, I happened catch Governor Rick Synder of Michigan speak in glowing terms of Canadian efforts in aid of a new link between Detroit and Windsor, namely the Ambassador Bridge. Long been seen as a bottleneck in the speedy flow of cross-border traffic, the Canadian government offered to pay for the bridge but the Moron family who own the current bridge opposed any changes and put up big bucks to fight the proposal.

Michigan voters solidly voted against Proposition 6 which called for a referendum on a new bridge.

This is great news for the future of cross border commerce. Thank you Michigan.
