WEST RIVER, NEW BRUNSWICK, – RCMP in New Brunswick are investigating after the body of small dog was found washed up on a beach in a pillow case.
Police say the dog was located on Sunday in West River in the Hyde Point beach area.
The Mounties say the dog was a mature female, medium brown in colour with medium length fur.
Police say the dog was found in a blue flower print pillow case that was sealed with zip tie.
The animal was taken to the Atlantic Veterinary College for an autopsy to determine age and official cause of death, but police say initial findings indicate that the dog drowned.
