Good reasons to leave. I agree, it'd be nice if all MPs were independents. Unfortunately I do not see parties going away anytime soon.

He won in 2008 by about 3000 votes - In 2011 by about 8000 votes. The NDP was a Party that let their members vote freely for the most part. Guess they are in for a change.

Any elected politician who forgoes ideology to serve the wishes of their constituents would get my vote. Reasoned debate is near impossible under our system.
