Greese's decision will be to determine if they are willing to transform themselves into a third world nation over night.

To default on their obligations will virtually guarantee that they will not be able to generate loans from the world markets for many years to come.

From what I heard this morning is that they are going to do just that, vote against the proposal. That will mean no money from the EU goes to Greece. Perhaps that is a good thing.

Yeah we need more Greek immigrants.

Not enough Pizza joints with pictures of the Acropolis on the wall?

ha, democracy landed them where there are and it seems it will keep them there too. They're like a present glimpse of where we're heading. Hell in a handcart and it's your turn to pump, don't ya know.

Talk about cutting-off your nose to spite your face... The money that they need is earmarked to float the myriad of social programs that they can't afford on their own.

If Greece leaves the EU, expect them to devalue their currency in an attempt to pay down some of the loans with cheap money - the catch-22 is that inflation will cripple the country and the pinheads that are complaining today will really be in the sh*t when the cost of living goes through the roof.

Democracy didn't land them there, unbridled socialism and an insatiable appetite for the 'entitlements' got them in this quandary.

Not really no. If you ever had the pie they make in my city you'd never go back to any other source. I want one for one with all the toppings on a single pie.

Oooooo... I don't know. Town Spa Pizza in Stoughton would be pretty hard to beat. A guy from Mississippi drove a truck to Massachusetts and bought 150 Pizzas from Town Spa.

He drove 1,400 miles for a Stoughton pizza - Metro Desk - Local news updates from The Boston Globe

I guess our Socialist nation is next to fall huh?

Halt the Action Plan before somebody gets a job or flush toilets!!!

Socialism comes in more than one form.. It's kinda like saying someone has long hair, the measure is a relative value.

If you really want to look at Greece's culture of entitlement, look into the GDP vs. taxes collected vs. spending on social programs... That ought to clear things up on the stetement.

GDP is a useless number. What do the CFS's for Greece say?

I wonder where they think the money is going to come from if they vote this down?

That's the kicker... The money will have to come from themselves, but considering that they plan on defaulting on their loans to (basically) every nation that were lenders, they will probably not get anything unless they sell off assets in their country.

It does show a pic of the product. It's a fine looking building but what are it's contents? http://ibackpackcanada.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/Houston-Pizza-Saskatchewan-Giant-Pizza.jpg

That is what I was hearing on NPR. The public consensus seems to be to simply default. It will be interesting to see what happens.
