Re: Our tax code is pockmarked with costly exemptionsOct 27th, 2011
You do have to have a form from your employer that says that you have to supply Tools in order to perform your job. Form T2200-Conditions of Employment.
If a Mechanic does not supply his own tools, he does not get hired. Employers have down loaded this cost for various reasons-breakage, theft or other losses.
Many employees now have to supply their own Transportation for their jobs. Again Employers down loaded this cost due to damages to Company owned vehicles, and an elimination of cost when there is no work.
Computers, Cell Phones, Radio Phones are also being, Satelite Phones, Air Cards are increasingly being requested by employers.
Safety Gear has long been on the list.
Some employees are having to supply Quads, Argos, Trailers, and Snowmobiles at some remote work places.
Really does not matter if it is a Company or an Individual. These are expenses involved in getting the job done for the Benefit of the General population and the Economy of our country.
Everyone knows there has to be more money generated for our Government to cover the cost of our very expensive Social programs and to keep up our Roads and infrastructure. No one wants to be the one that has to give up more Tax money. Someone else should get the hit---as long as it it not me.
