Thanks Juan, I've been waiting to hear from someone who saw it, we will watch
it tomorrow.

Let me know what you think of it. The young boy played by Brandon Walters just about steals the show, but it was still a good movie.

Can't find 'austrailia' on bell express Vu, will have to wait for it.

That's too bad. We have Shaw and for some reason they have the movie on "pay per view" and their "video on demand". Shaw have been promoting another thing called "free zone" where you can watch certain new movies for nothing. We paid our six dollars and it looks like we could have watched it for free but too late now. There have been few movies that I like being made these days. Gratuitous sex and violence seems to be the rule these days, and it's nice to see a good movie once in a while that steps outside that rule.

I bought the movie yesterday, watched it last night, excellent film, and I agree
with you, the boy was a standout.
I agree about the sex and violence, but hollywood caters to the very young,
and sex and violence is the flavour of the day for them, they have to grow older
and wait for the rest of their brain cells to develope to have a well rounded
appreciation for good films.

Well put. When you say you bought the movie, I assume you rented it. Blockbusters have had the movie for about a week. Cheers

Sorry to disagree.
I thought it was an inane and nondescript film.
Gorgeous scenery without a doubt.
The critics panned it with good reason in my view.

Slum dog, Dark Knight, The Wrestler all got nominations for good reason in my opinion.
Even that cartoon thing, Wall E I thought was OK.

If you want to watch a good flick about a foreign country look up a film shot in India called Water.

Just my opinion.

No Juan, I bought the movie in Walmart, $22.00, thought it would be a keeper,
and it is, will watch it every year or two.

That is a good price for a new movie. We buy quite a few movies. It's nice to have a good movie library.

I can't believe anyone could watch that movie and find nothing good about it. The movie wasn't perfect but it was a lot better than most.

I didn't say that there was nothing good about it.
I watched it from start to finish which is more than I am willing to do with a crappy flick.
Personally I will read a book before I will sit through a lame flick.
I thought it was so so.
I personally wouldn't recommend it to friends.
But its watchable.

I watched it in blue ray.
Good scenery.
Good cinematography.
OK acting.
Lame plot.
Mediocre directing.
Lots better out there.

But hey, to each his own.

My daughter and I saw this in the theater. It was awesome.

And Juan is right about that little boy. He was amazing. He had the best lines. He had me laughing, crying, and my heart pounding with fear for him
