Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond ("Hamster") shows that a near fatal high-speed car crash which put him in hospital for weeks cannot deter him from travelling in big, fast cars. He has returned for a new series of the popular BBC motor vehicle TV series.

Big comeback ... Richard checks his monster MG on BBC show Top Gear. In September he was almost killed when his 370mph jet-powered car crashed as he tried to break a speed record for the popular show.

TOP Gear hero Richard Hammond looks under the bonnet of his new car — a 20ft stretched MG.

The dad of two, 37, who survived a 288mph jet car horror crash last September, drives the specially-built monster in the new series of the BBC’s hit motoring show.

Looks like the Hamster was LONG-ing to get back on screen.

Hamster was in hospital for weeks after this 288 mph crash in September that almost killed him. The crash has not deterred from carrying on driving monster road vehicles in Top Gear.
