'Star Trek' star Nichelle Nichols suffers mild stroke

Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols is recuperating after suffering a mild stroke on Wednesday.
The 82-year-old actress, who portrayed Lieutenant Nyota Uhura in the longrunning sci-fi series, was taken by ambulance from her home in Los Angeles to a local hospital, according to TMZ.com.
Her representative tells the site Nichols is now awake and resting comfortably at the medical centre, and doctors are conducting tests to determine the severity of the stroke.
