I want to get a new phone and I want a camera one. I looked at Sanyo 8300 ,Motorola E815,LG 6200 at the local Bell store. I am currently on Bell for 1 more year at least and unsure if I am staying with them after that.
Has anyone had any expeirence with any of the 3 above? They are able to record video as well. Any suggestions to which one is better? Also are those phones "unlocked" so if I leave bell next year and go to another carrier can I still use the phone? Or maybe I should wait a year and see if I switch companies or stay with Bell?
I kinda want a camera phone now but can wait if I had to. Out of curiosity who has the best camera phones so to speak out of the carriers?

I can't answer your question about whether or not the phones (or cameras) are any good.. but you will not be able to move from Bell and use your phone on another network since Bell uses CDMA (like Telus). Both Telus and Bell make it very difficult to use each others phones on other networks.
Fido and Rogers use GSM. Those are the phones where you can remove your sim card and simply put it into another phone.

OK Thanks. Maybe I will hold off until next year, when my contract with Bell expires. I have no problem with their coverage just they seem to screw up more bills than they do not screw up, and it is getting annoying. I don't really want to buy a new phone if I cant take it to another provider if I switch. Thanks for the advice.

unfortunately not true, rogers and fido lock their phones so that only sim cards from the respective companies work. You can get your phone unlocked but that voids the warranty in most cases. Only a few european providers keep their phones unlocked like T-Mobile, 3 and a few others.
Unlocking is cheap though. For bell/telus phones can be placed onto each other networks by securing a generic ESN for the phone but it will almost always not "catch" on to a digital signal and the phone will only roam on analog instead of adigital connection.
for either gsm or cdma unlocking or transferring the phone onto another network is a no-no unless you are experienced in unlocking and adding new network connections for data, text messaging etc. Or you could ask Kalok for everything!

As for unlocking, Motorola will not void the warranty. My Motorola Rep once told me, if the IMEI stays the original, then the warranty will be there. Meaning, that you can modify ANYTHING in the phone, as longest as the IMEI stays the same, the warranty is still there.
When the phone is unlocked, you might also need the settings for the DATA stuff, such as WAP, Internet, MMS and etc.
