Hi Kalok,

I found this thread using google, and I also looked at another thread with your reply here:
http://www.canadiancontent.net/forums/about3327.html

I've tried the settings in an unlocked V551 I bought, but I can't seem to send/receive MMS (pic messages). The phone says it is sending, but the message never gets received. I've put my SIM card into my friend's V300 (Rogers locked) and it works fine to send pic messages. Can you help with any suggestions on the correct settings or what might be wrong?

I've also used the faq on howardforums.com here:
http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=566722
but still no luck.

Call Rogers Data support, tell them you need pictures messaging settings for V551, they will send it to you via SMS.

1-866-931-DATA (3282)

If that still doesn't work, let me know.

Data support said they can't send me the settings, but they could tell me over the phone, but it is the settings that I already know that are posted everywhere.

I tried it now on a V600 unlocked phone also now, and can't get it to work. Is it possible that the Cingular unlocked phones I have work except for MMS on other networks? That seems really strange to me. The phones are saying message sent, but it doesn't ever go anywhere, and I can't receive MMS messages.

Is Rogers blocking unlocked phones now?

It's WORKING! The only thing different I think I did was I did a Master Reset and a Master Clear. After doing that, it was strange that all my settings were still there, but the phone personalization was all gone. Then I resent a pic message, and now it works on the V600. Will have to try with the V551 later.

Just make sure you select Rogers Settings.

The V551 still doesn't work and I am using the same settings at the V600. Anther strange thing, is that it dosen't seem to matter what's configured for the "Server Name" in the MMS Message Setup, as long as you link the Inbox settings to the Web Session, and the Web Session has the correct homepage configured (http://mms.gprs.rogers.com)

Any ideas on why the MMS for the V551 doesn't work? It says it sends the message, but it is never received. Is it possible that Cingular has somehow blocked the MMS from working unless it is on their network with this model?
