It's now a regular feature of the Daily News and Chronicle Herald, spotlighting the repulsive living conditions of seniors at the VG. We tell seniors in need of critical care that they might have to wait a year to get into a nursing home and we're putting you in a temporay 'cell' in the VG which is a disgusting and depressing facility.

Why can't the Rodney MacDonald government help these seniors live in dignity for the last months of their lives and help the family and friends forced to care for them? The waiting list is just getting longer.

How about tax relief incentives for any nursing home setting up in Nova Scotia. No business or employee taxes for the first 10 years? It doesn't cost anything and will lure businesses here to set up nursing homes. We've had 50 years to get it right with our healthcare system and it's only getting worse, let's jump start the private sector with tax relief, our current treatment of the critically ill is inhumane, let's stop putting our our political beliefs above other people's healthcare, the public system is failing us.
