I'm looking for info on the city of Bathurst. I don't know anything about it. What is the population? Economy? Standard of living cost? Expensive for a young family? Weather/temp conditions? Etc. I appreciate any info!
Thanks.

Let's see.

Economy is in the toilet.
Cost of living is reasonably low.
You will not find a doctor there.
The hospital sucks.
Winters are cold with lots of snow, good for snowmobiling.
Shopping is limited, but Moncton is only a couple of hours away.
The schools are okay, but nothing special.

That doesn't sound very appealing. LOL.

Wages (skilled trade jobs) are pretty low? The cold winters is umm...something I'm trying to get away from.

Skilled trades are probably so-so, but with the pulp mill gone, and the mines supposed to last another 5years, it's not the best place for long term employment.

If it's a trade you're talking, Saint John would be better. Especially in about 5 yrs, when the new refinery starts construction. The LNG terminal is under construction now.

What trade are you specifically talking about?
