My Grandfather was born in NFLD in the 1920's . Would he be born a British citizen or a Canadian?
Thanks

I am pretty sure that's British. My family had some problems tracing one of our ancestors for the very same reason.

If he was born in NF in the 1920s, then he was born a British citizen. But then again, all Canadians born then were British citizens as well, since there was no such thing as Canadian Citizenship until 1947.
