HALIFAX — A 26-year-old woman was sentenced to nine months' probation for boarding her Halifax-bound flight drunk, "mutually masturbating" a fellow passenger under a jacket mid-flight, and kicking holes in a wall at the airport when she was arrested.
Alicia Elizabeth Lander said she doesn't remember any of it.
A flight attendant told the court she discovered the Nova Scotia woman in her seat with her underwear around her ankles on the flight from Toronto on Jan. 24, 2014.
When police met her at the gate in Halifax, Landers shouted profanities at them, then kicked holes in the walls of her holding room.
She was found guilty in May of committing an indecent act, assaulting a police officer, committing an act of mischief and causing a disturbance.
She was also given a six-month conditional sentence and a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
She has to pay Halifax Stanfield International Airport $426.65 for the damage.
Lander testified she drank more than a dozen shots just before and during the flight.
Jason George Chase, 39, was earlier given 18 months' probation and a conditional discharge after pleading guilty to committing an indecent act in the same case.
