...during a war in some faraway place, you are on a scouting mission with a friend behind enemy lines, miles away from your camp, suddenly your friend steps on a land mine and is badly injured, you both know there is no possibility of medical assistance, your friend asks you to shoot him to put him out of his agony...

.........i would shoot him without hesitation

It lessens the pain to hasten the process ... but there would obviously be a moment's hesitation.

Woof!

I would first attempt to render any medical assistence I could, however if he or she is missing a few limbs, some organs have been ruptured from shrapnel, etc..... and he/she was bleeding out, then if they requested that I shoot them to quicken the suffering, then it would be done..... three rounds to the head. You gotta do what you gotta do and in the same situation, I would probably have asked the same thing to be done to me.

Kill them......I changed the person who has my power of attorney and "living will" for this very reason. My oldest and dearest friend is "pro-life" and would keep me gasping and trying at life forever.....

Pro-life for me has come to mean, pro-agony because they are too spineless to live with your demise. (Tell me I am wrong here folks)

The man who loves me would shove a pillow over my face and end the agony.
