Would you highly recommend your doctor, dentist, optometrist or any other health care provider to a friend/stranger?

Well if I wouldn't, why would I be still using them? Guilt because they suck?

I wouldn't necessarily recommend my doc.

I attend a teaching clinic, so, appointments are longer than at most clinics and you see a resident first, then a doctor.

The yearly physical is when this can be its most, furstrating.

On the plus side, they don't double book appts. When you show up, it's your appointment time, and you're in right away. Missing appointments without warning can get you thrown out of the program because of it though.

I'd mention it, explain what a stellar doc she is and how great her residents have been thus far, but, it's a very individual thing whether a person would be comfortable with that program or not.

My dentist, well, he has yet to do any work on me, so, I have no idea. He's about to fill a bunch of cavities for my son though, so, we'll see how that goes I guess.

Kind of depends...

If my friends symptoms indicated cardiological or respiratory problems then I'd recommend going to a doctor...not necessarily mine. If we're talking broken bone or skin rash or some other ostensibly simple/minor injury or condition...then sure my GP would be up to that challenge....

Canadians are one of the most gullible people on the planet having fully absorbed the years of conditioning that firmly fixes the notion that an "MD" is next to "god" when it comes to his skills and his facility at prediction.... Doctors in this country (from my experience over the past ten years in the community I live in) aren't "doctors" in the Hippocratic sense anymore...they're businessmen.
