I was doing some research on Rudolf Rocker's book Nationalism and Culture. It's a book that covers a wide range of stuff, especially surrounding the state. Lots about fascism, et cetera. I guess in my web searches on things related to Nationalism & Culture and what not, I found posts on here by a guy named saint lucifer who sounded pretty fascist.
So I joined up to have a few words with him (naturally found him to be quite objectionable - hope he learns on his own the problems of fascism and ultra strident nationalism). Now he is gone but I am still here. Lots of neat folks on here with a somewhat diverse range of views.

I was comparing socialism to communism on rabble,a very left-wing forum,when I pointed out that the word socialist is part of U.S.S.R. I was booted off. A few people that agreed with me pointed me in this direction.This forum is a bit more tolerant of opposing ideas,still very left leaning though.

Sick of a extreme left wing forum I was posting at, also left another gaming forum and did a search for Canadian forums, found out that there were a few left leaning people who posted here which is where I view myself and decided to join.

Right now I am working on moving to Canada, so I decided to find a Canadian forum, and to get some idea of what the people are thinking, and what Canadian people are like. I found this forum through yahoo.

I found it while searching for information about living and working in Canada, particularly about working as a truck driver.
My intention is to glean as much info as possible before making a final decision on whether or not to apply for permanent residency.

I was posting on an ol-farts forum (shall remain nameless), but got tired of reading about Lucy's chocolate chip cookies, or Mazies' problem with post menopausal stress syndrome, and looked around..........VOILA.
This forum has a tantalizing mixture of young and old with many and varied ideas and philosophies. Something like Canada itself; sweet, but not sickly so, Tough, but reserved. Heroic, but understated. Right leaning, but also left.
Beautiful, but ugly. Showing the skanky underbelly of society, but also its true lovlieness, like siliconed breasts vs. the naturals. Like Vancouver's East side, but also North Van......anyway.......like that.......sorta.
Gotta love it.
