I don't wade in on this too much cause I don't really care, but this forum is NOT anti-American. If anything it's anti BUSH. And if anyone ever deserved to be antied, he's the one. Mein Harper is catching up to him though.
Also, we have some pretty erudite right wingers here to keep us in line, and it would be a very boring spot without them. We lovem. They are misguided an all, but we lovem just the same.
The forplaying is just my opinions eh? Don't bother dissing me for em (forum).......ah.....bad, cause I ain't gonna change regardless of the facts. Torture may sway me, but that's about it.
We all enjoy our stay or we leave. Woop de poop either way.

P.S. We are mostly Candadians. I imagine there are a few Canaians around, but they make themselves scarce most of the time. I heard that tribe was extinct. Made so no doubt, by the early Brit settlers. Too bad about their ancestoral hunting grounds eh?

I wanted to learn more a/b Canadians mostly as a lurker. I did a search and found several sites but this one ended up suiting me more intellectually. I like that posters are so knowledgeable and both sides of the political spectrum are roughly equally represented. Initially I remember having to take a break b/c the anti-American vitriol was too much to take. Fortunately things calmed down and I was very happy to return. This is now one of my favourite sites even if I don't do much posting.

Yeah.
I had been searching for a forum from the time a couple of years ago that a forum (unmoderated) that I used to use collapsed...........
I seized onto this one with gusto, especially as it was VERY left-wing when I got here............it has changed some.

My story may be long, but it is how I found this forum.
I read a news story on Yahoo about how American warplanes accidentally strafed Canadian troops and killed them in Afghanistan. I then clicked on the "discuss" link to see what people were saying about it, and EVERYTHING was "americans are fat and stupid", and then in response "canadians suck".
Because I couldn't believe there was that much hate I decided I should look at a Canadian forum to see what was being said there. Went to Yahoo and typed in "Canadian forums" and this was the first result, so I took it. I am happy to say that most Canadians here realized it really was an accident. I do not even look at those Yahoo discussion boards anymore, it is full of the most extreme retards from both political spectrums I have ever seen. Now I have ended up sticking around these forums to learn more about Canadian views. I know you may not like to here this (because I know you try to keep a different identity than us), but your views are basically the same as people in the US; that is there is no one united view. People here are on the left, middle, right, and then the die-hard extremists out on the deep end of either side.

Well when I was in prison, this was the only sight that was "Con" friendly. Don't worry I'm not violent, well not reallyyyyyy violent.
Just kidding the forum needs less war and fight threads and more humour, not to confuse humour with "Common Sense". I found this site by accident while googling "Do It yourself Canadian Forums". It's true I am doing it myself.

Found it with Google one day last February. Just dropped in to have a look again a few days ago.
Not really into politics as it tends to lead to harsh words & misunderstandings.
