Some pics from our Geology field trip this week.
This is a picture of Frenchman's Barn. It's the reminants of many old lava flows stacked up on one another. I climbed it, but my girlfriend couldn't snap the picture fast enough. I'm like a mountain goat. I'm the fella in the group holding a piece of driftwood like a walking stick.

Here's a view looking further up the beach, from what would be the far side of the top of the Barn in the other photos.
It was a nice trip. The weather was looking bad earlier in the week. Turned out to be very fine, though windy. My lips and face were burned from wind exposure. I have some very nice samples of the rock from that area. The most striking is a small metamorphic rock with 5 distinct bands of different rock types. They will make nice additions to an aquarium

This is a pic of my horse playing mine is the one on the left he's called leggs the other horse is called eddy this next on is him standing in a photography studio i had to walk him in the shop door way to get him in lol i don't own him any more miss him like crazy its a long story and sad too ive trained many horses over the years but he was different he was my pal

Quandary, I've never owned a horse but my pets have always grabbed me by the heart strings. I can appreciate this animal was very special to you.
