It might sound gross, but it's a naval idea nonetheless.
A micro-brewery in Australia has made a beer from belly button lint.
It's called Belly Button Beer (of course) and was produced with the yeast grown from the brewers' own naval lint at 7 Cent Brewery.
"Perhaps the first beer in the world fermented from yeast captured from the brewer's belly button fluff," reads 7 Cent's promo for the stuff. "There will be a little bit of 7 cent in every glass."
The brewers insist the yeast quality is clean -- yeast is yeast, after all.
And they say the beer itself is quality brew -- a hoppy Belgian-style witbier.
