Does everything really taste better with bacon in it? We’re not sure, but scientists are betting on our taste buds falling for bacon-flavoured goods in a major way.
Last week, Oregon State University scientists created and patented a new strain of dulse - or red seaweed - that tastes like bacon. B-A-C-O-N. The superfood is said to be twice as nutritious as kale (Hallelujah!) boasting minerals, vitamins and antioxidants as well as a lot of protein. And it tastes like bacon. (You’re welcome.)
