Hi, Lennie, and welcome to the board!
It is too bad you are starting your journey by criticizing your fellow travelers. If you want to come along for the hike then, please, accept everybody else the way they are, or you will find yourself pretty soon isolated and ignored.
When I first came here, which is not that long ago, I was so impressed, so uplifted by the humor I encountered here between some members, I literally laughed myself nearly under the table! It was wonderful, I wanted to be part of it. I wanted to make it through the winter without falling into a depressive hole.... and here I am, fairly happy, I made it!
Lennie, we all like to be accepted, have a few friends here at CC, be part of a little group. It makes life so much easier getting up in the morning and have something to do .. checking out the forum!!

The choice is yours, dear Lennie! Either you accept, adjust, find your little niche, or stand on the doorstep and watch the others dance, because you will never change this forum. If you weren't a female, I would love to take the challenge to whirl you around, tease you, flirt with you and make you my friend. Maybe a nice guy will pick you up and set your head straight... lovingly!

It seemed as if the point of the original post was used only as an opportunity to open mouth and change feet. Is there an award given for the most insulting response? It is not abstruse to ciscern the bullies and teacher's pets in this sand box.
I am under the obviously misconstrued impression that a forum is a place for intelligent discourse between adults not an on line version of Jerry Springer

But never, in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine I would accomplish all, at the same time.
See what happens when one goes to school, gets a good education, and tries really hard to climb that mountain. Some times, just by luck, you make it to the top.

I have no problem with her stating that she was offended, as she is allowed to be however she wants to be, but I take umbrage when she slags my friends in the process. I may not be right all the time, but it won't ever stop me from doing that.
It seems that there are two sites that have had people with multiple accounts. Now, I don't think this is as bad as the poop that has been happening over there because of that one person, but it could cause problems. I have no idea who the original account belongs to, but I hope that they are not a bad influence to the site.
All that being said, if your intentions towards the site are good in the long run, welcome to CC. It really is a nice place, and there are sections here for everyone to enjoy. Even crotchety grumps like me.

Thirdly... your research upon this site's expectations regarding decorum has resulted in you also missing a rather significant feature of this site: we have forum rules that apply to all of the main forums, which you say you have read in spite of missing the multiple account rule. In addition to the main forums however, we also have a few 'members only' areas where the rules are a bit relaxed. One of these areas is called Wreck Beach, with a sub-forum called The Steel Cage. Had you not been logged in as a member here, you would not have been able to see those posts.
I encourage you to read the rules pertaining to these areas as they may help you understand why members post differently in one forum than another.
