was googling "ethnic recipes" and ended up here (google works in mysterious ways for sure). started reading the posts and decided I'd stick around for the discussions!

A bit about me: I'm Canadian (yay, go me). I moved to Toronto oooo... almost 30 years ago from Brockville (aka B'ville) Ontario. I've gone by train from Toronto to Vancouver, lived in Victoria for a couple of years and have pretty much crossed the country coast to coast, from Pacific Rim National Park (the most excellent park in the whole world, btw) to Prince Edward Island. Didn't make it out to Newfoundland though. And haven't made it up north yet. Well, I've visited family in Sault St. Marie but that's hardly north. lol.

Loved Reboot (esp. the Recap Song sung to The Pirates of Penzance)
Am amused by all of the Canadian references in South Park
Was a subscriber to "Miss Chatelaine" when it was first published oh so many eons ago
And I do indeed say, "eh". Liberally. (The which was first pointed out to me by an American fellow tourist while in line at Notre Dame in Paris who identified me as a Canadian because of the "eh's". oops. how embarassing.)

so anyway, hello!

Welcome.
So you must like to cook. Me too. What kind of ethinc recipes were you looking for?

I used to live in Victoria too, still have relations there as well as the lower mainland. We've traveled to Nova Scotia for a long weekend and plan on returning there later this summer. I'd like to get a look at PEI if I get the chance.

I agree about the Pacific Rim. Went from Tofino down Long Beach saw some guys surfing there. Just a fantastic place. Japanese garbage washing up on the shore was a question. Loved Carmana too with the Sitkas. I've always thought about ending up in Sooke. Who knows eh?

So, welcome aboard.

Let me see, what recipe was I looking for yesterday... oh right, I was looking for something vaguely Mediterranian to do with red snapper. Found it too, filets of red snapper, juice of a lemon, some olive oil, touch of salt and onto the bbq it goes. Was pretty good.
