I may be from New York City, but I've visited Canada before and plan to take a trip up to Toronto this August.

Thanks for the welcome DurkaDurka. No, I haven't been there before, I believe I visited Montreal last time I was there (this was when I was a little kid, I'm not 100% sure). From what I do remember it was quite nice.

Downtown Toronto is nice, be prepared to be harassed by street bums though, there is tens of thousands of them and they don't accept no for an answer.
