Hey. I got this link from Rev on the Canada kicks ass site. This one seems cool too. Most people like to talk about themselves........and I'm no different. I'm a Canadian, born in Ottawa and now living in Victoria. I'm an animator (layout design mostly) and play allot of music (I own a Gibson Les Paul) and play soccer. I've done editorial cartoons for several papers. I'm 28 and hope to remain 28 for several more years.

Welcome Gonzo!! A Les Paul ... colour me impressed.

I, too, am in Victoria, along with a few of the other inmates of this asylum. I'm a graphic designer who secretly covets the talents of animators and cartooning. You have a website of your work? I'd love to see it.

Anyway, I'm sure you'll enjoy CContent. It's a feisty bunch and since joining I spend more time here than I do on eBay (as a compulsive shopper, that's saying something!). I look forward to your posts.

I think Rev does get commision. I always wanted to do graphic design. I want to get into illustration more. You have more artistic freedom then in animation, which is like an assembly line. Some art of mine can be seen here. http://photobucket.com/albums/v604/G...action=options
I should start a website.

Very nice work!!! You are most talented. I especially love the church on Douglas. Always thought that place was somehow creepy and you captured that.

Do you put your work into shows anywhere in Vic? If so, let me know ... I'd love to see your stuff on display.

To tell you the truth, I'm fairly new to Victoria, and have found that there is not much work for animators. I've been doing alot of drawings of the buildings here and would like to display them somewhere. Got to get my bearings first. The church's here are amazing. I love craigdarroch castle, the royal music conservatory.
I love the design of this website. The lightbulbs are very festive.

The green stems don't show up on my computer.

Still, I think they look good. I'm sure there's a market for heart-shaped lightbulb thingies.
Somewhere.

ROFL I drew them after those big bulbs we used to have on the xmas tree. They don't really look like hearts, LadyC!

Christmas...bah-humbug. You know what I wanna know? How come Manitoba Hydro's Power Smart sponsor the Festival of Energy-Sucking Lights here in Manitoba?

Hey, Gonzo. Glad you could make it.

Do you do flash animations? I saw a thing on one of the freelancer sites looking for people who do. I never bookmarked it because I don't, but you're interested let me know and I'll send you the most likely addresses I have for jobs like that coming up.

I studied a bit of Flash in college but I'm not realy computer savey enough. I like the traditional style of animation, and I'm more of a layout artist, doing backgrounds and concept designs. I may get the program and fool around with it but as of yet I'm no expert. I'd love to check the website out, always good to upgrade your skills.
By the way Rev, where is your burning man and skeleton logo? Those were cool.

Fat Basturd made that for me, so I've only ever used it at CKA.

I'll PM the addresses I have tomorrow. My bookmarks are a nighmarish mess right now...Hugo Chavez mixed up with writer's guidelines and DU everywhere. Not sure what the heck I did, but it's not good.
