Italian documentary confirms:
U.S. used napalm in Falluja
By David Hoskins
Published Nov 17, 2005 10:24 PM

New evidence came to light earlier this month that confirmed reports in Workers World newspaper and elsewhere that the U.S. military had used internationally banned chemical weapons, including white phosphorus and napalm, during its November 2004 attack on Falluja.

The U.S. government adamantly denied these reports at the time. Reports of the alleged U.S. war crimes were notably absent from the pages of most Western newspapers and there was virtually no discussion of the issue on cable news stations or talk radio. Al Jazeera’s facility in Iraq was forcibly shut down in an attempt to stifle journalistic inquiry into these reports.

Now, almost a year later, Italian state television RAI has produced a documentary confirming that U.S. forces in fact used white phosphorus and MK77 Mod 5—a napalm derivative—in Falluja. And the Guardian of London has called Falluja an atrocity on the scale of Mylai and Guernica, estimating 7,000 civilian dead.

While MK77 Mod 5 uses a formula consisting of a smaller concentration of benzene, the effects are exactly the same as napalm. The use of these incendiary wea pons is a violation of the 1980 UN Conven tion on Certain Conventional Weapons.

Workers World newspaper had published an article in its Dec. 2, 2004, issue based on a talk by Workers World Party Secre tariat member Sara Flounders in which she described how the use of illicit chemical weapons, poison gas and bunker busters had virtually destroyed the city of Falluja.

Jeff Englehart, a former soldier in the U.S. 1st Infantry Division in Iraq, says in the Italian documentary that he saw “burned bodies, burned children and burned women.” Entitled “Falluja: The Hidden Massacre,” the film contains video footage showing the bodies of civilian women and children following the U.S. air and artillery bombardment.

The innocent victims appear to have been burned to the bone. Others have partially melted flesh hanging from their bodies. These chemical weapons primarily affect the flesh of their targets. The evidence leaves no doubt that the victims were unarmed and in civilian clothing at the time of their deaths.

Orders to shoot children

Describing the United States’ intention to target civilians in Falluja, Englehart states that he was told by military superiors going into Falluja that “every single person that was walking, talking, breathing was [an] enemy combatant. As such every single person that was walking down the street or in a house was a target.” Englehart confirms that soldiers had orders to shoot children as young as 10 years old.

The use of white phosphorus and napalm in Falluja is just another example of criminal action and conspiracy to hide the truth. It fits into a domestic and international agenda to reshape world politics in favor of the extreme right wing of the U.S. ruling class. The breakup of the Soviet Union emboldened the most conservative sector of U.S. imperialism and its allies to try to assume for themselves absolute control of the world.

Recent news reports have provided myriad instances of criminality, corruption and conspiracy. Since 2004 alone, troops directed by the Bush administration have been caught committing torture at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, desecrating the Koran in the concentration camp in Guantanamo in occupied Cuba and now using internationally banned chemical weapons in Falluja.

The U.S. government first lied in 2002-2003, claiming the existence of massive amounts of chemical weapons in Iraqi hands, to justify the invasion of Iraq. The same U.S. government then turned its own arsenal of chemical weapons against innocent civilians in Falluja and has now been caught lying in an attempt to cover up its criminal actions.

Let's hope the people who used these banned weapons be burnt in hell. And if there is no hell, be burnt alive. Amen.

What is so amazing is the callous indifference of the Americans to this kind of information. It is like they feel they are 'entitled" to do as they want , when they want....and what they want. But just let anyone else try it.......and they sh*t all over one.

How can they be this callous about human life??? Since when is the US life more important than anyone elses?? Surprise to the silly arrogant , murdering americans...... Their lives are NOT more important.........and maybe this is the hint they better listen to.

There is NO dirty trick that the Americans will not try/ do/ use or abuse.........as long as they get THEIR way. Maturity level of this new america is about toddler age......and unfortunately someone gave them matches to play with.

It is beyond appalling that ANYONE would consider what the US has done and is doing even debateable. It is NOT debateable......it is illegall, unethical. immora.............and they don't give a flying feck.

Too bad the rest of the world would not impose a trade embargo on America. Only then, they may get message but of course it could give them card blanche as everyone would be an enemy of freedom by the USG mentality.

indeed. No matter how one tries.........one finds it almost impossible to comprehend this new "freedom"......with us or against us NARROW ......mindset that has grabbed such a hold of the americans. Maybe it was always there.......but I just didn't see it as clearly before.

gotta admit this fecking Iraq mess has been an eye opener for me right from the beginning. Red bells started going off the minute bush began his campaigne for this ELECTIVE invasion.

How horrific it would be if other nations decided that pre -emptive strikes were in order. And they would not have to LIE about who the threat is. By US current standards........Iran, Syria, N.Korea.........all have the right to invade the US militarily as it poses a grave danger to them. There cannot be this double standared that the US has been playing by for so long. But then did the US ever play fair/honest ??

in a way...........these "truths" about the US that have been seen by the world now.......might work in the worlds favor. The world might start to be a lot more careful when dealing with the US.....and the US can NO LONGER CLAIM the HIGHER MORAL GROUND. We (collectively) have seen too much of the ugliness that is the US today. Bush can cry his freedom crap until the moon turns to blue cheeze.......and not sure anyone is going to listen........let alone buy into it .....( well except for the neocon brainwashed)------which makes them a small minority on this planet. Everyone else can't stand the US as it is now. This is tragic as it could have been so different..........if there had been some real intelligence in the black house of horrors.

If the UN, for example, ever did that, beyond question, next to America, Canada would be the hardest hit. I am not even certain whether our leaders – so much in the pockets of big business – would go along.

Certainly, only the UN has ever had that kind of authority that Canadian citizens could force Canadian business, to go along with a trade embargo.

I am not certain, considering the tangled ownership of Canadian and American businesses, that they could be sufficiently separated to make an embargo feasible.

If such a thing were to happen, and if we made the attempt to honour the embargo, it would certainly be a wake-up call.

No sovereign country should ever allow its well-being to depend so completely upon the good will of its neighbours.

agree.

A nation should never "put all its eggs in one basket".....so to speak. Canada is yet to learn.

I think we are learning very fast. I cut all my business deals with the US. My business will survive as there are many other avenues to take. I haven't purchased, leased, contracted anything to the US. I haven't even tried to cross the border. One humiliation last year at the border was just enough for me.

I think you are right about individuals learning fast. Not sure about Big business..........etc yet.

Have heard of the humiliations at the border crossing......and would not even consider travel to the US anymore......even though I have relatives all over the states. They can come here .........;-)

(good thinking and business management. Mog. Makes all kinds of good sense. )

distancing ourselves carefully is a viable option. But one has to be careful too......as we are stuck with them as neighbors.....and maintaining a cordial relationship is part of being civilized. We must uphold the standard we ascribe to. They have no standards......and the world knows that now. We must never become so blinded by their self grandization, that we loose the reality .

True OB.

As for the humiliation part, it is a bit different for me. You know how they act. They look at the color of the skin, accent, background, and they humiliate you accordingly. So it is a multi-level marketing (multi-level humiliation).

Let me check the article and get back to you.

I found nothing in the website you gave me.

But if I did, and they speak the truth about the treatment of Islamic and Arabic nationals, they will be accused of terrorism and be shut down and fined.

These websites are very careful of what they publish after 9/11. I know you are very well aware to what happened to hundreds of sites/mosques/groups and individuals. Some of them are getting rotten in guantanamo.

The problem with some people who live down there is that they are still blind. With all the lies, torture, maiming, bigotry, killing, occupying, ...... still believe that they live in the most wonderful world.

Bad news. You are living in the worst place on earth. I think Hell is better for some of you.
