If I were an American citizen, this is what I would say:

Mr Bush, Mr Cheney, Ms Blanco:

You must resign immediately. Your governments no longer have any respect or authority. You have all proven yourselves to be incompetent, criminally so; totally incapable of leading any sort of organization, much less a government in a modern nation.

You personally carry the responsibility for thousands of deaths for your personal incompetence and failures. You must act now, and take personal responsibility for your actions or lack thereof. It's on your heads, and your heads must roll. People depended on your leadership, and you failed them. You failed us. Do not fail us now; you must resign. Hang your head in shame, and hope that you may in time be forgiven.

Shame on you all. Shame on you all.

Yes , indeed. "you" all of the neo-fascist party must resign if you want to maintain any form/or dignity...... and then a truly independant inquiry can be established to itemize all your crimes against humanity .....and others. so you can stand trial in a civilized court of law. (both : International court of Law and the US court of law.........as your crimes are not only local , they are international. )

"you" will be treated much better than the way you have treated others....... as this is the only way to show you how civilized people do things. Whether you actually learn anything ......is debateable...........as your human limitations have become obvious to the most unseasoned.

Let true justice prevail. and now is the time to finally really do the "right thing"......... right as defined by ethical standards........NOT some lies you have spun for so long.

sorry in advance if this sounds callous..........but I am at the point of saying : If the US population is content with a criminal for a leader , one who rips them off /left , right and center..... fine... that is THEIR problem....BUT

Sadly it becomes the world's problem ......because same "leaders" can't keep their noses out of other nations' business and in a destructive way. They have not matured enough to learn about fair cooperation , and have not been rehabilitated enough to get away from criminal , unethical, devious thinking. / conduct.

but .........I do feel an empathy/sympathy for the section of population that is aware and is victimized by the Criminal in chief......and his co horts. Seems their hands are tied now..... and this is something else about the new US that is so obvious now.

make money of the latest disaster??? You bet. Halliburton is in there up to its greedy neck. (reconstruction of New Orleans. ........and lest we forget: "reconstruction " of Iraq. ) Both messes that they had a hand in creating. Quite malignant......IMHO

Thank God the terms of office will soon be over for Blanco even though she is Acadienne de N. Brunswick (Maiden name is Babineaux), Bush will retire to his ranch to play with cows, and cheney will go play with something else!

Ms. Blanco was a schoolteacher who married the football coach and got a job on the Public Service Commission, regulating telephones which I might add don't work too well right now in Louisiana (Internet is via Satellite). She won the Lt. Gov job and stepped up when our last Gov could not run (term limits)! Our saving factor in the States is TERM LIMITS!

Can you spell D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R, I bet Kathleen Blanco can now!

Who wants to be captain of the Titanic anyway?

It sadens me to no end seeing my country being troden down by these criminals  everyone I talk to thinks I'm crazy and it's not that bad, or "THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO!". Bulls**t! that's how they work, make you feel insignificant, that your all alone, It's real sad that I have got more response and intelligence from my canadian neighbors and people from Europe than in my own country. but I won't give up never

Hang in there jj, the United States of America remains one of the best political ideas anyone's ever had, the problem is that the people who've been running it lately don't understand their history (understand it, Hell, they know less about it than I do, and I'm a Canadian), their constitution, or the intentions of the nation's founders. Those guys (the founders I mean) were among the brightest and best the world's ever produced, and they built for the long term. There are many people in the United States who still understand the great ringing phrases of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution; I despise the current administration, and pretty much every administration back to about November of 1963 (though Clinton wasn't too bad, in the scheme of things, and Carter was well-meaning but an innocent), but I remain hopeful that America's brightest and best will some day come to the fore again.

Hey, stranger things have happened...

very interesting. "not that bad"........is just keeping their blinderse on/ or major denial.....based on fear of the truth.

"there's nothing you can do".......sounds like sad resignation to a situation. Or Passive compliance. This is not the "america" "we" used to know.

jjw.. the US is lucky to have people like you..........the ones that SEE the realities (and not buy into the smoke/mirror syndrome) and are prepared to face them and deal with them realistically.

Time to go...

It's a real disgrace to see these affairs in the US. And it's real annoying to be led by management in a company that basically doesn't know what to do or how to handle problems - but it's miles worse to see that in the leadership of a country. The people in the US ought to put him out...! We'll take care of that for you Mr. President - and knock him out. He doesn't look like the kinda guy that will resign tomorrow morning. And these kind don't pop off the scene easily - they are usually so determined despite the results they obtain in political affairs through their total lack of competence. Political management that hurts their own country and people deserve nothing better than the royal boot...! The people should take a real stand in this issue in order to gain control as quickly as possible. And then perhaps we'll see change coming into view...

indeed. But sadly the "people" have been brainwashed/ cowed by their regime's FEAR MACHINE. .......so not sure they have the guts to say what needs to be said./do what needs to be done.

Sadly some people believe the Bush era is all but over, is it?
I wouldn't be surprised to see them ignore that too and run for a third term, like Roosevelt did during world war two. No we could have these two clowns for years. The place already resemble the Washington Kremlin.
America if fixing to become a Christian Conservative dictatorship, and all the signs are there.

sadly, the population and protests have little "say" now..... and it would not be a surprise at all for bush to find some "way" to annoint himself president for another term......and maybe even for life. The constitution is meaningless to him....... just something to manipulate and pay lip service to.

Now THAT is a frightening thought......
